This award is to help remove economic barriers to successful learning by supporting students in need attending schools in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

Purpose of the Award

To provide a well-rounded student in need of financial support the ability to move into the next stage of their academic career.

All graduating OCDSB students are eligible for this award.

Criteria for Selection of Winner

The Ashfield’s have defined a well-rounded student in need of financial support as a student who:

  1. Is continuing their education at a college or university;
  2. Has achieved academic success; and,
  3. Has volunteered and/or given to their community.

All applications will be reviewed and assessed by the Review and Recommendation Committee for the Foundation and the results of the selection process will be reported back to principals.  The principal of the school must support and approve all grant applications.
