Tony Adamo, son of Marisa Germano in our Admissions department, passed away suddenly at the age of 21 in the prime of his life. During his lifetime Tony was always drawn to music either through dance or musical instruments. His true love was playing the guitar and the music he could create with it. Tony was on a path to pursue a career that included music in order to live his passion. To honour the memory of Tony who loved life and music, the Tony Adamo Fund for Music was established in 2011 by his family.

Purpose of the Award

To award a guitar, case, and accessories to a deserving student in Tony’s honour. This guitar will be given to the student to keep and further pursue their own love of music.

Eligibility

All OCDSB students with a focus on R.A.I.S.E (Resource Allocated Index Based on Socio-Economics).

Criteria for Selection of Winner

A student who is enrolled in your music course for guitar and who would benefit from this generous gift.

Judging

The recipient will be chosen by members of Tony Adamo’s family.

Award

One guitar, case, and accessories for one (1) student to be provided annually.

Application period: Monday, April 22nd, 2024 – Friday, May 24th, 2024.
