Let Your Toonie Be the Stepping Stone to Student Success!

Thank you to everyone who supported Toonie Tuesday on February 25, 2025!
Every single toonie is an investment in a student’s potential!
On February 25, 2025, we united as a community to support students in need within the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
It is not too late to still donate right here, right now!
Funds raised will support initiatives that provide the tools that students need to succeed such as access to food, clothing and the ability to participate in meaningful activities.
The Education Foundation of Ottawa is here to help; but we can’t do it alone.
Here’s how you can make a difference:
- Make a one-time or monthly donation right here, right now and receive your charitable tax receipt by email.
- Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Staff – Participate in our payroll deduction program by contributing $2 (or more)/pay and counts towards your annual charitable giving. All you have to do is complete the secure OCDSB Laserfiche form that goes directly to the OCDSB Finance department.
- Parent(s)/Caregiver(s) – Help your child(ren) understand the importance of giving back and have them come up with creative ideas on how they can raise funds for their fellow students in need. On February 25, 2025, make sure to send your child(ren) with $2 or more, or you can easily donate through School Cash Online or through our website.
- School Council – Share information about the Education Foundation of Ottawa with your school community. You can even designate a portion of your annual funds raised to support our important and necessary work.
- Community Members – Are you, or do you know a business owner who would like to participate? Businesses can choose an item where $2 or 2% of every sale goes to our Toonie Tuesday Campaign! You could host a staff challenge or your own Toonie Tuesday every Tuesday in the month of February. If you know someone who would be interested in investing in the lives of deserving children, please introduce us by putting us in touch with a local business or community trailblazer!
Thank you for helping us to reduce economic barriers impacting student learning and well-being. Every child deserves the opportunity for success in their education.
Please email educationfoundation@ocdsb.ca for more information.
